Description:
Clinicians who care for families affected by DSD are invited to join us in Oklahoma City on Thursday June 21 for an interactive educational program co-sponsored by the Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome/ Disorders of Sex Development Support Group (http://www.aisdsd.org/), and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center SUCCEED Clinic (http://www.succeedclinic.org/). Since publication of the Consensus Statement, families have desired an opportunity to work more closely with researchers and healthcare professionals to improve understanding of, and treatments for, DSD. Arlene Baratz, MD and Amy Wisniewski, PhD invite you to join us for a collaborative workshop aimed at reviewing issues important to people affected by DSD such as long-term treatment goals, sex assignment and gender identity, genetic screening and registry development, and psychosocial and peer support. Presentations and discussion will involve both families and clinicians.
